Science Explained

Science ExplainedTraditional science offers no explanation for how or why atoms can get together to form molecules, but the Twa chemistry provides us with a true account of all that's going on in the molecular world. This is the realm of molecules and atoms.Molecules are made up of simple chemical bonds and usually make up less than one percent of the total number of atoms in nature. In some molecules, however, the molecular bond forms between two atoms, and these are known as monomers. These molecular complexes are called monomers because of their very special use in biology and medicine. The Twa chemistry is actually a combination of physics and chemistry. This science is not unique. It was initially applied in medicine and is now being used in chemistry. The Twa chemistry and the Twa physics are closely linked to each other because of their relationship to the properties of matter. The Twa chemistry is a bit difficult to understand because it deals with what it calls 'quanta'. These are part of the story. A single atom, the nucleus, has a lot of energy and this energy quanta combine to form various particles, which are then moved around by forces known as the strong nuclear force. The Twa chemistry explains why those particles can be so light and, therefore, can travel great distances at great speeds. Although this physics is used in chemistry, the Twa chemistry actually has a deeper application because of its chemical properties.Knowing these inner workings and understanding the properties of matter are keys to understanding the life on earth. Chemists need to have an understanding of atoms, molecules, energy and forces. They also need to know about processes and the processes of different types of matter. They must understand the properties of liquids, solids, gases and even liquids and solids in solution. Knowing about the properties of liquids and solids in solution is a key to understanding how they react chemically. It is usually the atoms and molecules t hat combine in very complex ways that give rise to the marvelous process known as recombination. During recombination, atoms or molecules combine with each other in order to form compounds that are more complicated than those created in a single step. In many cases, these combinations are more stable and will maintain that stability much longer than those created in a single step. The properties of all types of matter are dependent on the properties of a particular combination of atoms and molecules. Therefore, knowing how these properties change under certain conditions is essential in understanding the properties of matter. It is important to understand the properties of matter, as well as the conditions that lead to a change, as this knowledge helps in creating different materials, such as cars and computers.Understanding the Twa chemistry can help one understand the laws that govern the properties of atoms, molecules and solids. The Twa chemistry also helps in the study of the p roperties of solids and liquids. It can help in the study of the properties of these materials and even the structure of those materials. This understanding can lead to new discoveries in chemistry and physics. The Twa chemistry can also be used in designing new materials that can be used in everyday life.

10 Guitar Exercises and Tips for Building Muscle Memory

10 Guitar Exercises and Tips for Building Muscle Memory Sign up successful 3. Practice placing chords shapes one finger at a time Analyze what each finger has to do between each chord. Make those movements with finger one finger at a time, then two at a time, and eventually place your fingers in the whole chord all together. Eventually the entire chord movement will become an automatic move into place with simultaneous finger movement! 4. Practice the chord “shapes” without strumming Place your fingers in a chord and then change to the next. Try practicing chords in sequences of three or four at a time. These should be chords that you have already learned, so you can make the shapes while watching TV or having a conversation. Taking out the variable of strumming is a great way to isolate and improve your left-hand technique! 5. Pay attention to what changes from one chord to the next Sometimes a finger does not have to move very far to get to its next location. Sometimes it is already where it needs to be! Be conscious of these situations to make sure you are moving efficiently from chord to chord without extra movement. 6. Make the switches between chords a fast snap Even if you are waiting four beats between chords or just switching chords freely when you can, try to start quick “snaps” to prepare and think ahead to the next chord. With four beats for instance, you should be thinking about the next chord as fast as possible or on the second beat of the group of four. 7. Counting and closing-in exercise This is one of my favorite guitar exercises for when you are building up a specific chord change, but you need to be able to do it faster. Example: playing C to G is a challenge for you. Put a metronome on at a very slow and attainable tempo and the first time think in groups of 4 clicks. Play the chord only on the first click of four while counting out loud and changing the finger positions as fast as possible. Feel good after a while? Next try changing the chord within three clicks. Can you move right after the second click? Finally, when youre up to speed, you can move the chord on each click and the counting and closing in exercise is complete. 8. One finger can get there before the others When you are learning new chords, you have a chord change that is usually challenging to get in time, or you have a fast tune; you may still be able to make the chord! Remember that one finger could get to the next chord before the other fingers trail along, so you could strum a few strings that include the finger that has made it, position your fingers that are late, and then complete the strumming when all fingers are positioned. Try it out! 9. Focus on your fingertips You might be noticing buzzing or strings that sound weird for certain chords. It could be that you are half-muting a string with part of your finger! Make sure to arc your fingers and use just fingertips on the fretboard for some chords and you can avoid the extra contact with the open strings underneath those fingers. Practice placing each finger down on the fretboard, being mindful to only press through the tip of your fingers. Boom. Problem solved. See Also: Exercise that Builds Strength, Stamina, and Accuracy 10. Think ahead As soon as one chord or note is placed, strummed or plucked, think ahead to the next necessary movement and make it. Then as soon as that chord is placed, do the same. We will always be thinking ahead until the end of a piece. Now, I am just thinking ahead about the next article I might write! Step Away From You Screens Tips To Get Comfortable Talking To Other People - Introvert Whisperer

Introvert Whisperer / Step Away From You Screens Tips To Get Comfortable Talking To Other People - Introvert Whisperer Step Away From You Screens: Tips To Get Comfortable Talking To Other People For an introvert, working in an office where you’re expected to socialize with other people may be the closest thing to hell you’ll ever experience. Unfortunately, for many of us, learning how to get along with people can mean the difference between success and failure. Here are a few tips to help introverts get more comfortable talking to other people. Be Prepared This is probably everyone’s nightmare, whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert â€" you show up at a social event or walk into an office full of socializing friends and find you don’t have anything to talk about. You’re reduced to talking about the weather and making comments about the local sports teams. You don’t need to have detailed notes for every conversation you have during a social situation, but if you know you’re going to be talking to people, consider preparing some talking points beforehand. Work-related topics â€" current projects, upcoming clients, etc. Not everyone wants to talk about work all the time, but it does give you common ground to start a discussion. A local attraction â€" Is there a new restaurant or attraction you’re interested in, but haven’t had the chance to check out yet? Make it a conversation topic! Ask questions â€" Have a few questions handy to ask if the conversation starts to fall off. People love to talk about themselves, after all. Any other topics you can think of â€" You know your situation best, after all. Prepare some questions specifically for the people you know will be there. Does a colleague have a new pet or a new baby on the way? There’s no better way to start a chat than getting people to talk about themselves. Don’t worry if the conversation starts to slow down â€" enjoy the break before it picks up again! Disconnect It’s tempting to revert to forms of communication like text, chat, and email that don’t require meeting someone face to face, but it’s not always possible, and it can actually be detrimental. First, it’s prone to misunderstanding. You can’t convey tone or mood effectively with text-based communication. Even adding a smiley face to the end of a sentence can be misunderstood as sarcasm or being unprofessional. Second, it can be harmful to your mental health. Being constantly connected wears out your brain and can even cause psychological problems. Face-to-face communication, on the other hand, has been found to help reduce the risk of depression. Face-to-face communication is more effective in professional situations, even if all you’re doing is gossiping around the water cooler. Don’t Go Alone As an introvert, you’ve probably already identified friends you can be around without needing to take a break and recharge. They don’t drain your introvert batteries, so to speak. If you find yourself in a social situation, make sure you’re not there alone. One of these friends can be invaluable in a busy social situation â€" even if you’re having a great conversation, having somewhere or someone you can retreat to can be essential. No Obligation Your entire team is getting together for happy hour or at the local bowling alley and has invited you along, so you’re obligated to go, right? Nope. One of the hardest parts of learning how to talk to people successfully is learning when to say no. You might be afraid of missing out on whatever experiences these get-togethers offer, but you know you’ll be exhausted by the end of it and probably won’t be able to enjoy yourself. Even if you’ve already said you’ll try to make an appearance at one of these events, it’s OK to beg off with an excuse, or just say you’re not coming. Talking to people face to face is a skill you will practice throughout your entire life, both in work and social situations. While you may never perfect this skill, taking the time to learn how to talk to people as an introvert is something you should focus on for improved mental health and success at work. English Classes with TED Morgan Spurlock

English Classes with TED Morgan Spurlock Most people know Morgan Spurlock for his popular documentary film, Supersize Me, in which he spent 30 days eating nothing but McDonalds for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Since then Spurlock has done many interesting projects, and is now working on another film, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, a documentary about branding, advertising and product placement that is, ironically, financed by brands, advertising and product placement.Morgan recently gave a TED talk about the making of the film, for which he sold the naming right to on Ebay. He spent some of the talk focusing on branding, but for most of it he talks about the difficulties of making the film, and his chief point seems to be that it is important to take risks in life. Below youll find the TED video, and some questions about the video. We are now regularly using these videos as part of my advanced English conversation classes. If youd like to take a class, contact us.What unusual thing did he try to do with his TED Talk? What i s your brand? What is his movie about? One of the men that Morgan presents the film idea to says that When I first hear it, it   is the ________ _______ for an audience. Another ask him, Do you sort of know how ____ __ _____ __ ____ ___? What happened when he turned the camera off after presenting the film to the men who said they could help him? What was the fatal flaw with his idea? What are the three sides to every story according to Morgan? What did he have to do? What word do they finally decide on to define Ban deodorant? What are each of the peoples brands? I like really ____ _______. 80s _______ meets _____ ____. ______ Dark _______ A Classic ___________ Mercedes Benz Casual ___ Part ______, part ____, part Brooklyn ____ The ___ guy Fed __ Failed ______ _________ ______ (Morgan) At the intersection between ____ _______ and ______ ___.What did he do next? What does the company tell him his brand is? What does this mean to you? When you train your employees to be risk averse, then youre preparing your whole company to be reward challenged.

Cute Geometry Area of a Hexagon

Cute Geometry Area of a Hexagon Hello, everyone! Cute bunnies keep teaching us geometry! Last week our bunny told us about the area of the rectangle There are very many geometric shapes around us and today I want to highlight the hexagons. A hexagon is a polygon with 6 sides and 6 angles. There are 2 types of hexagons:  Regular hexagon â€" when all angles of hexagon and all it’s sides are equal;  Irregular hexagon â€" when the sides and angles are not equal. Interesting facts about the regular hexagons: Honeycombs are in the shape of a regular hexagon; Soap bubbles tend to form hexagons; Some complex carbon molecules (such as graphite) have a hexagonal crystal lattice. Giant hexagon is a atmospheric phenomenon on Saturn. Now, look at the cute bunny  below. How to compute the area of the regular hexagon? Use following formula: Where: S â€" is the area of the hexagon; â€"  is the side of the hexagon. In case you want to know more about the hexagon in particular or geometry in general find a good  geometry tutor  on TutorZ. Cute Geometry Area of a Hexagon Hello, everyone! Everything you need to know about applying (and getting hired) for the EPIK program

Everything you need to know about applying (and getting hired) for the EPIK program Sangsangnim! Also known as “teacher” in Korean. This is a term that you will become very familiar with after you land, settle in and indulge in the incredibly rich culture as an EPIK program participant living and teaching English in South Korea. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. You want to find out more about the EPIK program and how to become an English teacher in South Korea and we’re here to tell you everything you need to know. So let’s dive right in! EPIK is your gateway into South Korea’s vast public school system. It is by far the largest employer for teachers in South Korea, but what’s the difference between the public and private school systems there? Public vs. private schools in South Korea. Private academies, also known as Hagwons, are more likely to function as a business than a school. Teachers will often get paid more here, and work with more foreign teachers as they will often be completely English-focused schools. Students will go to a Hagwon for kindergarten or arrive there after school for English-intensive classes. I personally taught at a Hagwon and was lucky enough to end up in a great neighborhood in Seoul, which is right where I wanted to be. The trickier part about my experience working at a Hagwon, however, wasn’t only the longer working hours than my friends teaching at a public school (about double the teaching time). It was the number of students being pulled out of, or put into classrooms in the middle of a term. Because Hagwons are businesses, you’re often being told what to do by the parents (business patrons), and usually, have to do what they say! Public schools, in contrast, function through three government-run programs: Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (SMOE) recruit for more than 2,000 schools within Seoul, the country’s capital. Gyeonggi English Program in Korea (GEPIK) recruit for all public schools in the province surrounding Seoul. English Program in Korea (EPIK) are affiliated with the Korean Ministry of Education and recruit for public schools everywhere else in South Korea. These are, by far, the best programs to teach English in South Korea. You will sometimes be earning a little less, but the programs look after their teachers very well, and you will have more free time to learn Korean, see some sights, or whatever you want to do with half the teaching hours than at a Hagwon! All. About. EPIK. Sign up to Teach Away today for access to the latest teaching jobs around the world. EPIK is an incredibly secure program with a great orientation into the country. You can still end up in one of South Korea’s big cities, or in a more rural village, but the program has a lottery system and you ultimately may not end up where you choose. You may also be the only English teacher at your school. But don’t despair! Public schools are a great place to work, and the workload tends to be much lighter than at a Hagwon Sweet! So who’s qualified to teach with EPIK? Any native English speakers with a bachelor’s degree and citizenship from the following countries: Australia Canada Ireland New Zealand South Africa The UK The US You will need a college degree to anywhere in Korea, and the EPIK program is no exception. However, this degree does not have to be in teaching or other related specializations. EPIK requires no prior teaching experience and no degree in teaching whatsoever, which means it’s a great place to start if you’re interested in heading off to teachers college eventually, or just getting a year of teaching experience in to then go teach in other places in the world! Candidates who meet EPIK’s program requirements will also have to have no criminal record, pass a health check and go through all of the steps in getting an E2 work visa. If you’re looking to maximize your chances of getting accepted into EPIK, You will also have a much better shot at a successful EPIK program application with a TEFL. Is a TEFL certificate required to teach with EPIK? Yes. For jobs at most South Korean public schools, you will need to have a TEFL certificate that’s at least 100 hours in length. Wondering which type of TEFL course you need for EPIK? EPIK accepts online TEFL certifications as well as onsite courses. Aside from it being a set requirement, taking a TEFL course will help prepare you for things like managing your classroom and planning lessons once you’re accepted into EPIK. That way, you’ll know what to do when kids start climbing on tables, or an overworked student falls asleep on your watch. The scoop on your EPIK (get it?!) salary and benefits. Wondering how much money you can make teaching English in Korea with EPIK? We’ll get straight to the point. Here’s the great contract deal you’ll get with EPIK: EPIK pay scale ranging from $1,700 - 2,500 USD (or 1.8 - 2.7 million KRW) per month Settling-in allowance of around $300 USD (around 300,000 KRW) $1,250 USD (paid in KRW) towards your flight Furnished housing Health insurance Pension contribution 18 vacation days, 14 national holidays and 11 sick days If you end up teaching somewhere rural, you may also qualify for an extra $100 USD (100,000 KRW) each month. EPIK teachers might also be assigned to multiple schools at a bonus of $100 USD (100,000 KRW) each month for two schools or $150 USD (150,000 KRW) for three or more schools. The cost of living in South Korea is incredibly low. With some light budgeting, you can well afford to have a great night out, with plenty to eat and drink and only end up spending 20,000 KRW (about $20 USD), depending on where you end up. Beer costs around 2,000 KRW ($2 USD), and you can find cheap meals for as little as 3,000 KRW ($3 USD) as well. Traditional Korean BBQ will cost a little more, but nothing compared to what you’ll pay at home! With great shopping and incredible nature, you’ll be well clothed and able to find plenty of things to do at a very low cost! Plus, if you decide to stay another year, your ranking will go up with the EPIK program, which means that you will also qualify for a higher rate of pay. Sidenote: Wondering how your salary with the EPIK program compares with other English teaching jobs around the world? Not sure whether you’d like to teach English abroad just yet? Check out our handy teach abroad salary calculator to find out! What’s teaching with EPIK really like? At your school, you will be expected to work a full 40 hour week, even when you don’t have classes to teach. You will have around 3 to 5 classes a day, leaving you with plenty of downtimes to socialize, learn Korean, or whatever you find to fill the time. You’ll get to know both your fellow teachers and students very well, which means lots and lots of snacks and treats at most hours of the day, in my own personal experience. Where will I be teaching? The short answer is, it depends. EPIK places teachers all over South Korea, except Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. And although you can rank your top 5 choices on your application, you won’t actually get to choose where you end up. Do I have to apply to teach with EPIK through a recruiter? Not necessarily. You can either apply directly through the EPIK website or get the help of a recruiter specifically working with EPIK. Recruiters add a little extra something with their knowledge of the school system, work visa process and ensuring your contract is kosher. I personally went through a great recruiter who even visited the school I was working at during the year to check in. Before I made my choice on private vs. public school teaching in South Korea, he walked me through all options and scenarios very thoroughly. They also sometimes provide assistance after arrival and are good contacts to have after you arrive in a foreign country. Make sure to choose a reputable recruiter to avoid any potential opportunities to get scammed. What’s it like to teach in a Korean classroom? Korean children are passionate, focused, fun, and very, very smart. They often attend school during the day, followed by a variety of academies from math, to music, to English - sometimes several in one evening- before heading home to work with a tutor and finish their homework. As you can probably tell, they are pushed very hard from a young age, which is why it’s important, as a teacher, to inject some fun into their day along with the learning! They will have a lot of questions for you as a foreigner, anything from the color of your arm hair to whether your family is back home missing you. Some will speak near-perfect English, while others will know little to none, and it’s your job to keep them focused, learning, while always keeping in mind- hey, they’re kids! Again, your TEFL course will help you learn tips, tricks, and gain confidence in how to reach these children in a positive way. Recommended reading: 5 steps to becoming a culturally responsive teacher 10 tips for teaching in ESL classrooms OK, you’ve sold me! Walk me through the application process for EPIK. Apply online on the EPIK website, or use a credible recruiter to make the process a little more stress-free. EPIK intake is in August and February and EPIK teachers are placed on a rolling basis, which means the earlier you start, the better! In brief, the EPIK application timeline runs a little something like this: Download the initial application form Collect the following documents: A copy of your passport An apostilled bachelor’s diploma stamped at your local Korean Embassy Sealed transcripts Two recommendation letters A professional photo An apostilled police check (again stamped at your local Korean Embassy) Create a sample lesson plan (there are some great examples online) Submit your application and documents Complete a Skype interview with EPIK Apply for your E2 Visa What happens when I arrive in South Korea? As soon as you land, you’ll get to start your EPIK teacher’s orientation on living and teaching in Korea. You’ll not only make a ton of friends during this time, but you will learn what your job will encompass in the South Korean public school system before heading to your final destination. This is mandatory (and unpaid) for all EPIK teachers, but food and accommodation are provided. Enjoy this time and make the most of it. You might meet some best friends for life! Want more insight into what life is really like teaching English in Korea? Check out these posts: 5 things to know before teaching in Korea Things I wish I knew before I moved to South Korea to teach English Settling into life as an EPIK teacher in Korea. Here are some things you can do to ease into life in South Korea and make it feel more like home: Study some simple written Korean. Trust me, it will help you understand signs and order food. Learn a few useful Korean conversational phrases. Some Koreans do speak at least basic English, but it’s a fun language to learn anyway! Set up a bank account. This will help you start earning, saving (and spending). Oh, and get a phone plan, stat. (Bonus: these tend to be much cheaper than home!) My own personal plan was 20,000 KRW per month ($20 USD), for 1GB of data, which I almost never used up thanks to free WiFi being readily available in most public spaces. Try new food. Don’t shy away from what’s different. There is so much to Korean cuisine, and it all tastes amazing. And don’t forget to embrace everything this wonderful country has to offer. Travel on weekends. The train system is great and will take you anywhere you want to go to in the country, coast to coast! Chemistry A Molecular Approach - Does it Stand By Its Claims?

Chemistry A Molecular Approach - Does it Stand By Its Claims?Chemistry A Molecular Approach is not as good as its predecessors. If you had read it in the first two editions, then you know that this is not the same book as in the first one. There are some major changes, and it is no longer a book about the Fundamental Concepts of Chemistry but more like a step-by-step recipe book. The author of this book is now Dr. John Stewart, who has taught Chemistry for more than 20 years at Leeds University. However, there is no relation between this book and his Ph.D. from the same university. Some of the new chapters are not mentioned in previous versions of the book, so you cannot learn them if you have not read the previous versions of this book. When the authors start the study of the fundamental concepts of chemistry, they focus on the chemical properties of the elements and compounds. But, when they are in the last pages of the book, they introduce the molecular theory, also called 'molecula r mechanics' and some of the phenomena that are related to it. It is strange that the authors give so much importance to properties are introduced very late, but in the end it makes the book very boring. You would not understand all the concepts of molecular physics, and that is why the authors introduce other topics instead. There are lots of problems in reading textbooks for free, so this is no different. As I have already said, it is not a good book for a first-time student who wants to learn chemistry by doing. If you want to be able to practice, then you need to do some experiments and it would be a waste of your time to read the book and spend some days doing experiments, only to get disappointed because it does not teach you much. The reason for that is that there are only a few concepts taught in the book. In fact, only the basics are covered. Even those are not in the right order and there are some confusing statements. You may even ask yourself why you can not download it as a PDF file for free. But the fact is that this book is now being distributed on a paid basis. However, the information in the book still remains the same.If you want to read a book about Chemical Physics, you may find Chemistry A Molecular Approach very useful. However, if you just want to learn more about chemistry and do experiments, then you should try other books instead.

Sailing Lessons - The Essential Guide

Sailing Lessons - The Essential GuideSailing lessons can be a very fun activity, but only if you know the basics before you try to take on a difficult situation. So this is the first of a two part article looking at the key points in all Sailing Lessons. One important factor to remember is that it is not only how many sailing lessons you've done in your life, but the expertise of the person teaching you the lessons. We're talking about a short lesson here. It's possible to have a lot of problems in practice without the right instructor. The subject in hand, the language and jargon used in the lesson, the way of talking, and the type of humour that are common to that part of the world can all have an impact on you and help to make learning more fun. Again, our aim is to ensure that the subject matter is something that you'll be able to enjoy. One idea for a lesson might be to have a local yachting club or an independent boat sailing club meet you up to sail for two days. At the end of t he week, you'll be able to get a brief about yourself, to get some ideas for lessons to see if you're the person they need, and also to learn about other people's experiences. If you live in a small or regional area, you might find that an out of town trip is an easier way to get training. This is especially the case if the weather conditions are better than those experienced in a town.By the way, the best time to have your lesson is usually at the beginning of October, as the autumn equinox is when the sky is mostly clear of clouds. The reason for this is because there is less wind and as a result you will get a much better chance of sailing better conditions. It will also give you the chance to practice how to manoeuvre the boat properly, as you will want to steer clear of any thick layers of cloud. All these points are very important, but it's worth bearing in mind that one of the keys to a successful sailing lesson is to be enthusiastic about it. You want to have fun learning some thing as much as anyone else, but there will be a specific time when you will want to be calm and relaxed, which is why it's good to take your sail training at the beginning of autumn, when you know it will be calm and clear. As with anything, it's a good idea to plan a perfect day so that you don't have to rush off to practise on the last minute. You don't have to get your lesson during the afternoon, but you will find that it's a good idea to set aside a few hours in the early evening. During this time you should have the chance to think about what lessons you might want to do, whether you've got any ideas for new techniques and generally give yourself some time to prepare.

They also offer the opportunity to bring to bear the new learning. The third section of Pearson intermediate algebra help focuses on a set of helpful exercises. These are activities that can be performed at home or outside the classroom to help the students practice what they have learned. This section also helps develop the practice skills that will be needed later on. The exercises in this section help the students develop their ability to perform algebra problems. The final section of Pearson intermediate algebra help covers the final concepts that are related to algebra.
